Our History
Belle Vue Park Primary School started its existence as Gowrie Park Primary School (No:4806) which was opened on June 11th 1962 by the Minister for Education Mr. J.S. Bloomfield.
The school began with 8 classrooms, a Principal's office and staffroom. It continued to grow as the suburb grew with young families moving into the area. With the addition of portables and then permanent classrooms enrolments peaked in 1973 with 874 children in 26 classrooms.
At the start of 1997 Gowrie Park Primary School and Hadfield Primary School merged to become Belle Vue Park Primary School (No:5453)
