Learning from Home
Some background information
Responsive & Interactive
Our school has made plans for remote learning to ensure students can access the curriculum and stay in touch with their classmates and teacher.
Teachers have completed their planning for the first 5 weeks of term three and have adapted these plans into our online learning platform.
Emotional support
Students will miss that personal connection with their teacher, friends and classmates. Our school has ensured that the platforms we are using for remote learning provide that connection.
Students will be able to see and hear their teacher and classmates.
Assessment & reporting
Our remote learning platforms allow for online assessments and also other assessments that teachers develop.
Feedback in the learning process is important so our teachers will incorporate feedback to students.
Teachers and students will also be able to provide each other with feedback using the apps and referencing Success Criteria and Rubrics.
Daily Timetable & structure
Structure is important for students and their parents. We will provide a structure for daily learning for students to follow and which parents can oversee.
A daily timetable for students will be developed.
Parent involvement
Parents are not teachers. All we ask from our parents is that you support your child to engage in the learning tasks set by the teacher.
It would be great if you explained things that your child is unsure of and answer any of their questions and assist them in some tasks.
It is up to each family to decide the best place for online learning. It might be the bedroom, lounge room or kitchen table. It depends on your circumstances.
Communicating with your child's teacher
Our Seesaw platform has in-built communication with parents/family so you can keep in touch with the class teacher.
