2022 key priorities

Our students, parents and carers have been incredibly resilience over the past year. Thank you to everyone for your great support.  We achieved an amazing amount during the lockdown/remote learning period. Remote and flexible learning has not always been easy, but through our collective efforts, our students made progress in their learning. You can be confident that our school will support any student who has fallen behind (see information on our Tutoring Program in 2022)

Health and safety measures
At all times our school is focused on the health and safety of students. If there are any further school closures or health warnings we will alert you immediately of our arrangements and any organisation details.

3 key priorities in 2022:

Mental health and wellbeing
Our highest priority will be the wellbeing, particularly the mental health, of every student and member of staff. This means effectively mobilising all available resources to support our most vulnerable students and enabling staff to access the relevant support services.

Learning and excellence
Some of our students have thrived in the remote and flexible learning environment, others have maintained their learning progress, and some have fallen behind, despite their best efforts and those of their families and teachers. Our priority will be supporting both those who need it to catch up and those who have progressed to continue to extend their learning.

Tutoring program in 2022

Our school has implemented a whole school tutoring program in 2022 to support those students who did not make expected learning gains in remote learning.

We have employed 2 very experienced and knowledgeable teachers to deliver this strategy and these teachers support identified students based on our student assessments.

The Tutors plan together with the class teachers and follow the exact process to ensure consistency in our planning, program delivery and assessments.

The strategies are delivered as a component of our normal class program and students are supported in small group situations.
We have already seen some fantastic progress with some of our children.
